Terry Earp

About me

Terry was born in Monmouth Illinois, the birthplace of the legendary Marshall Wyatt Earp (Terry is a third generation descendant).  He served in the U.S. Navy as a S A R (Search and Rescue) helicopter crewman during the Vietnam Era.  His desire to help others was evident even then.  Unfortunately, Terry walked a path headed for destruction until he made a conscious decision to change by receiving wise counsel.  Terry graduated from Carl Sandburg Junior College in Galesburg, Illinois in 1979 where he was awarded “Who’s Who” among American Junior College Students and where he discovered his passion for writing.  He then graduated from Western Illinois University.

Terry has been a motivational speaker studying for his national certification in Addictions Counseling.  “My passion is to help others realize their full potential.  Your past does not have to dictate your future or define who you are today.  The key is to walk the path He has chosen just for you by listening to God’s wisdom and obeying His counsel".

Thanks for sharing. We all have these thoughts about our memories, dreams, and plans coupled with our mistakes and what we would do differently. You put these feelings into words we can all relate to.
